Supporting the community in Mitchell's Plain on Human Rights Day, as we marched in solidarity with families who have lost a child to gun violence.
Human Rights Day commemorates the Sharpeville massacre, which occurred on the 21st of March, 1960. There were 69 people killed and 180 injured, including 29 children. Some protesters were shot in the back as they fled.
